bamboo and timber benchtop FAQs

Are timber and bamboo benchtops sustainable?

The great thing about bamboo is that it regenerates super quickly, resulting in lowered environmental impact. At kaboodle, all our timber and benchtop materials are sustainably sourced.

Are timber benchtops practical?

Yes, timber benchtops are incredibly practical! Not only are they rustic and stylish, but they are also the easiest benchtop to repair. After experiencing general wear and tear, unlike marble or granite, timber benchtops can be sanded back and re-finished to look like new.

How much are wooden benchtops?

All our bamboo and timber benchtops are available in a range of lengths and thickness and all pricing is based on the size of your space. Made from glued and compressed bamboo, our wooden benchtops come with a kaboodle 10 year warranty.

How do you care for a wooden benchtop?

Maintaining timber benchtops is often easier than people make it out to be as long as you do the following:

Clean up spills immediately: Accidents happen in the kitchen, but when they do, be sure to wipe your kitchen benchtop dry right away whenever food juices, beverages or even water are spilled. Despite the finish on your timber benchtop, moisture still can leak through it and could warp the wood. Use only warm, soapy water when cleaning the surface and never apply vinegar or any acid-based cleaners as these cleaning agents can penetrate and weaken the glue that holds the boards together.
